Dive, I applaud your objective effort in unearthing facts. I'd be interested in your similar findings with my "2010 NFL Season Big Pond Pub" thread in the Sports Forum (180 posts) and "The Civility Thread" (183 posts) gf page 3. Thanks.



Edit: "Self contribution" within your six thread sampling = 24% (110 / 460) with an average posts per thread of 77 (460 / 6).

One further thought, Dive. You may have just pioneered something of long term benchmark value, something that takes both op initiative/poster response into account. Let's name it the "Dive Forum Benefit Multiplier". Within your limited sampling an average of 77 posts per thread divided by the raw "Self Contribution" percent 24 = a forum benefit multiplier of 3.2... our present standard of an RHP Beneficial thread. Sense the "Dive Forum Benefit Multiplier" (DFBM) may have legs.
