I agree -- baked potatoes taste very good with the peel. Why would anyone want to remove it?

I never peel spuds. All the good stuff is in the skin. Mashed potato without peeling the spuds is great. I substitute natural yoghurt for the milk when mashing and add a pinch of cummin.
