i was walking through town the other day, and saw something of interest, and wanted your opinions on it.

there was a man (person a), standing in the middle of the street shouting out about how god created the heavens and the earth etc etc.

a person came along (person b)

person a is standing, with nobody listening to him. person b stops, and starts claiming the opposite, that the big bang was the 'beginning' etc etc. at this, many people started shouting at person b, saying that they had no right to be saying this, because they had no proof.

in your opinion, is this not very hypocritical? and was either of the people in the right or the wrong? your opinions are welcome

Science is the new religion of the postmodern world we live in.
Yes this world is full of hypocrisy.

I'm a christian but have to agree - if man a has the right to give his opinion then surely man b has the same right. Even if you don't agree with him. Find the shouty type prechers can be a bit much - finished the London Marathon last year and while waiting to meet friends this guy was preching through a loudspeaker about the end of the world being nigh and about burning hell fires. I'd just run (hobbled) 26 miles and christian or no I wanted to thump him

Actually, neither of them should have the right to cause an obstruction in a public place by standing still 😉

Also causing noise pollution, and jsut generally trying to influence the people around them without their permission.
