I know a win is a win but I think that game was crap.
The papers/ sven/ beckham said that this is the best english team produced since 66, much fitter stronger better all round but judging by that performance I dont think england will have a sniff after the second round if they get that far!!

Man of the Match: Paredes. This guy was everywhere! Even if he lacked some judgement now and then his presence in the midfield was a key reason why Paraguay wasn't an easy game for England.
Overall, somehow disappointing game from England. What I reckon this game showed was the confirmation that England lacks some alternative up-front without Rooney and that it is still a solid team that can win even when they don't impress.
Anyone out there still thinks T&T have any chance to pass? I keep my idea that they can keep their heads high if they finish 3rd in the group, it will be very difficult.
Proper discussion? About what? Anybody who likes football will want to forget that game ASAP! It was absolutely TERRIBLE! There won't be many worse teams in the WC than Paraguay and if that's the best we can do we're doomed! OK, we'll probably beat T&T and then have 6 points, and so qualify, but in the next stages it'll be a different story.
I know the ball has been changed and I think that partly ruined the game, they looked like they were playing with a balloon. All the passing was terrible, Crouch looked like he'd never played before and even Gerrard was shocking!
I support England and Italy 50-50% but have virtually written England off now. Fortunately I have the luxury of a second chance.
