Just watched David Moyes's interview after Everton's loss to WBA. Really bad loss for Everton yet Moyes continues to praise his players.

This inspired me to create a thread ranking the top 3 managers based on likeability and performance this year.

Here goes :

Performance
**********

1. David Moyes (Everton tipped for relegation, 4th in league)
2. Sam Allardyce (Average Bolton team into 6th in league)
3. Mourinho (Most expensive team in the world... and doing well)

Likeability
********

1. David Moyes (one of few managers that talks unbiassed truth in football)
2. Kevin Keagan (another honest, playing it straight manager)
2. Mourinho (To some annoying, otherwise his arrogance is quite funny)

Those a re pretty fair.

I would put Dowie into the "likeable" category - he is an open and honest character who does a great job in motivating his players.

Mourinho ... just for the way he deals with the press.

PS I am not a chelsea fan.

Performance
**********

1. David Moyes (as above)
2. Sam Allardyce (as above)
3. Iain Dowie (probably the most promising English manager going)
[4. José Mourinho (in some ways the easiest job, but to have done it so well is impressive all the same)]
[5. Harry Redknapp (seems to have turned Southampton around)]
[6. Bryan Robson (remember West Brom losing 5-0 to Liverpool? It's like a different team entirely now)]

Likeability
********

1. José Mourinho (extremely clever, willing to portray himself as a tit sometimes in order to further team spirit)
2. Rafa Benitez (The Benitez revolution is very different from the Mourinho one but a highly impressive character all the same. Would rate him as even more sincere than Moyes)
3. Iain Dowie (Very impressive speaker, bright and seemingly eager to learn, ambitious in a good way)
[4. David Moyes (not sure about unbiased truth, but certainly highly admirable)
[5. Martin Jol (seems like a character)]
[6. Alan Curbishley (intelligent, quiet, has worked miracles at Charlton)
[7. Stuart Pearce (purely for his touchline behaviour and incredibly serious-minded statements)]

Can't include him as he isn't with a club at the moment but if you had to watch one post-match interview with anyone, it'd have to be Gordon Strachan!

Least liked
*********

1. Steve McClaren (anodyne brown-noser)
2. David O'Leary (ironically now actually will have money to spend in the summer; am sure he'll still find something to moan about after prefacing every sentence with "I can't really moan and have just got to get on with the job, but...." )
3. Chris Coleman (nothing in particular, just never really taken to him)

Moyes has to be manager of the season. Even though it looks like we are going to blow it in the final month, again. Come on the Toffees.
