I had a pair of single lamp wall lights controlled by one switch. I've replaced them with a pair of two-lamp lights but for some reason only one lamp will work in each light. The wiring was straight-forward using a connection bar, and the light bulbs are all ok. Can anyone help please? 😕

Have you checked the internal wiring of the fixture? What kind of bulbs are you using?

we are just about to test the internal wiring, but as the problem is with both fitments I don't expect there to be anything wrong

If it was working before and it is not working now then it is likely to be something you have done.

Take it all apart and start again. I know it is tedious but you can spend hours fiddling with it and still end up having to go back to scratch.

Good luck.

Thanks for the posts, finally got to the bottom of the problem - one of the bulb contact pins had been bent down too far!! It's always something simple isn't it!
