LOL, probably not.

After serving for 22 years in the USN, I used plenty of profanity every day. I'm pretty sure I considered it normal and acceptable at the time. Sometimes, when you're trying to make a point, nothing else quite does the job as well. 🙂

Times have changed. The TV series Veep, for example, would not have been broadcast, as is, in the C20th.
