I've just seen the new Bond film, which I enjoyed in the standard unbelievable way that Bond films go, however, I have a couple of queries and wonder if anybody can help me please?
1. In the film, they use a desk top (literally a desk top) computer, which they manipulate with Minority Report type of touch screen antics. Do these really exist now, or is it still strictly sci-fi comic book excellence?
2. Is the 'unknown organisation' SPECTRE? Have I missed them saying this, or are we meant to still be guessing? Does this mean that a bald man with a white cat will appear in Bond 23 when this coms out?

Or search the web for videos on the new Windows 7 OS.

Originally posted by SuzianneHe did, but these films are effectively prequels in the timelines, as Bond has only just got his '00' status - by the time Moores Bond kills him it would be further in to his career.

The title actually means: Required amount of comfort in distress.
Which I take it refers to his state of mind, however, the organization the bad guy was from, was definitely mentioned as being called "quantum".
The film was good. Except the initial chase scenes. They were shot with that Borne identity shaky camera malarkey, and that really pisses me off.
Bond swapping hotels was brilliant.

So I assume all of Craig's Bond movies will be in this earlier timeline? It's confusing, since M is still female and as old as she was in Brosnan's Bond films. Creative license, I guess.

Has this even opened yet in the US?

I agree on the car chase scenes, they also did some of the fight scenes in a Bourne style, which makes them a lot harder to focus on. I imagine that the idea is to bring the audience into the films more.
Originally posted by SuzianneIts almost as if the new Bond films are to be taken as brand new, as if we should forget all the previous ones, as like the new Batman films (new Joker, Two-Face etc). Certainly creative licence!

Dame Judi Dench will hopefully stay as M for as many films as possible, shes a superb actress.

Lazenby was in Her Majesty's Secret Service , by the way.
My favorite bond is obviously Connery.
I have every Bond film on VHS up to Goldeneye.
After that, I kind of lost interest.
My favorite is no doubt Goldfinger. ๐
I love when he makes Goldfinger lose at cards.

Yes! Thanks! ๐

Yes, as to why Blofeld was killed in Moore's debut... at the end of OHMSS, Bond (Lazenby) gets married and Blofeld has her killed. At the beginning of LALD, Bond (Moore) was at her gravesite. That's why I knew it was Moore's first Bond film, even though I couldn't remember the title.

My favorite lines from Goldfinger:
Bond (while being strapped to a table with the laser working its way up to his groin): Do you expect me to talk?
Goldfinger: No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!
