so who is going to be the lucky person to get a rec when they tell me the artist and the name of the song that goes...

"i fell asleep in the flowers....for a couple of hours"...

it's been in my head all day...and now i just want to actually hear the song....so i don't have to listen to myself singing 😛

Try Shazzam song recognition.
Just dial 2580 on your mobile and hold it up to the sound.
A few seconds later you'll receive an SMS containing the title and artist.
It costs 25p (that's about 45 cents in the USA) and is surprisingly accurate and compendious.
I have a feeling it's only available in the UK, although I'm sure similar services are available elsewhere.

Actually I have to step in here, the original song is by The Beta Band. The remix by I Monster has all the flangy distorted chorus effects on the voice and the funky video, but the original (released in the same year) was by The Beta Band, who, if you are unaware of them, are well worth looking into.
