Pretty cool.
My community puts on an air show each summer. This past one had a race between a plane already in the air doing 600+ mph when it crossed the start line at an alt. of maybe 100 ft. At the same time a "rocket car" started from a full stop on the ground and actually beat the plane over a one-mile straightaway.
