Does anyone own it?

Watched it last night, the part where the town sheriff asks Rambo at the begining of the film and says "You're visiting someone here?". Rambo says "No", the sheriff then says "With the flag on your jacket and the way you look you're heading for trouble here, buddy"

Im wondering why the sherriff said that to him when he himself was wearing the US flag on his uniform? 😕

The film was filmed in Hope, Canada but was supposed to look like it was somewhere in the US........anyone explain?

The sheriff is always looking for trouble, that's why he wears the flag.

Because rambo's flag shows he is a veteran and people will assume he is homeless by the way he looks. The town doesn't like homeless veterans. The sheriff's flag is just a flag on a police uniform.

the sheriff saw right away that rambo's the kind of guy who'll end up supporting al qaida few years later in rambo III, and thought he'd do something about it before it was too late.

Lulz! Spot on!

Yeah, yeah, the sheriff is the kind who has in the bathroom of his office a sign saying:

If you don't replace the toilet paper rolls the terrorists win. Do you hate America?

watched it too 🙂 missed that particular scene as I joined 1/3 in the movie but I think it was to do with anti-war campaign/feel at the time which he also referred to in the final I-can-be-so-sensitive-and-emotional sequence
