yes mr/mrs mod it's a sport but as the biggest sporting event of the year your average poster who doesn't care enough to wonder into a whole forum dedicated to sports will post in them if they see it in the general forum, as is proven with the popularity of the two threads that was in the gf. plus they've been in the gf for a few days now, if they were going to be moved they should've been moved right away.

We don't want to "enforce with an iron fist" every thread that references a round ball and dump it in Sports, but I also will not let the General forum become cluttered with "Wow! Great goal!!!!", "[insert name of poncey striker who makes more in a day than I make in a month] is the bestest player in the WORLD!!" and "X draws Y. Suck it, people of Y" threads a dime a dozen per match day.
If this great event can't get some people into the Sports forum, then they probably don't actually care.

anyway, if someone posted a thread 'wow what a goal' or whatever why not just move the thread and pm the user explaining why...? clearly some threads on the world cup will be allowed here, i don't see the need for that mod thread.
