I despiiiiiiise recs. I spit on them (ptui). I wouldn't even scrape a rec off my shoe, I would just let it rot there.

I've compiled a list of the best way to get recs in no particular order.
1. Blunt one line insults.
2. Make fun of no1, or someone else that some people don't like.
3. Find a thread with strong conflicting opinions, and write a paragraph agreeing with the person who seems to be getting the most recs.
4. Write a post stating how you don't want recs (even though you really do)
5. Find a thread that's just getting a lot of recs, and do what the other people are doing. Similar to number 3.
6. Get a fan club of people (or one person) that rec every one of your posts. I don't know how this is done, but perhaps Zanthos, no1, katty or Nordlys could share their methods. Usually the person will get bored of this after a few days, but by then you'll have accumulated a healthy portion of recs for little effort.
Writing something funny, witty, or informative yields only a tiny recs/effort ratio. It's just not worth your time. But if you do want to get recs for the right reasons, just copy and paste something funny, witty, or informative without giving credit to the real author.
