I was with some friends one day many years ago, and we were driving down Route 66 in Albuquerque. There was an anti-abortion rally going on, and many of the people were carrying signs reading: Abortion Kills Children! We're driving in the lane closest to the sidewalk, and I'm in the passenger seat. Luckily we weren't going too fast because, for some reason, I decided to reach out the window and swipe one of the signs out of a woman's hands. I felt kind of bad because one minute we're honking and waving and acting like we support their cause, and the next thing you know I'm stealing signs right out of their hands.
So here we are with this sign, and we have to do something with it. I mean, it's not enough that I swiped it from someone on the sidewalk while leaning out the window of a moving vehicle. No, I can't stop there. So I get the idea to modify the sign so that it now reads simply: Kill Children! We went around the block and drove back by the procession on the sidewalk, once again honking and waving and attracting all kinds of attention. People weren't happy with us, I can tell you that.
Now, I ask you this: Would the world not be just a little bit better place if my mother had chosen abortion over spewing me forth? I think it's a good possibility.
By the way, the driver of the car also plays on this site, and his name may or may not be Ronster. (His mother definitely should have aborted, trust me.) 😳
