The NEW site is still being developed. The point of this thread is to see if we can get a small beta-test team together to see if it works. Once we get enough names for the beta-test team I can do the final bit of development on the NEW site and open it up for testing.

Are the shares just based on users? What about clans?

It needs to be based on a value that rises and falls. The Clan points system only goes up so it wouldn't work - no one would lose money.

Base the clan rating on the members within it - sum or avgerage - something like that.

Rating changes (i.e. profits) should be like dividends and the price should be whatever people are willing to pay for them. THAT, would be fun.

I'd hope not. That'd be open to abuse. Also, there should be some rules in there to prevent collusion - a user could easily agree to resign all xis games to affect a deal in this spin-off.

That's actually one of the problems I've been struggling to solve. There's no real fool-proof way of stopping it happening but I've got a few ideas to make that sort of cheating less effective.

We run the site, Sandbaggers are NOT WELCOME.

That is all.

We can talk more about it, but it's pretty easy to view a user's graph and deny them access on a case by case basis...
