How do I force or claim a draw with repetition of moves? I have moved my king must be 5 times back and forth to the same square and my opponent repeats his move that is no different and I respond with my repeated move to the same square. I have asked for a draw, but he keeps on moving. Furthermore, I'm wondering if I'm playing a bot
@Very-Rusty saidI'm also involved in a repetition of moves. I keep walking to the fridge to get more cheese.
And there he has his answer. 😉

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidWatch not to get constipated eating all that cheese. 😉

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidThen let me put it another way. Don't let your friend make you constipated. 😉
Cheese is my friend.

As I understand draws:
If a draw is offered and accepted, that is a mutually agreed upon draw, and can be done at any time during a game. Just click the 'offer draw' button and then make a regular move. Your opponent can then accept the offer, or decline it by making their next move.
If you think the conditions have been met for a draw, just claim it and then submit a move.
If it's a draw, it will be awarded. If not, the claim will be ignored and the game will go on.
You can claim a draw any time that it's your move.
The only time I know of when a draw is automatically declared is in a stalemate. All other draws have to be claimed, except when a draw is offered and accepted.
I could be wrong about these draws, so please let me know. 🙂
@mwmiller
he suddenly changed his move when I said it was 3-fold repetition and I moved my piece and asked for a draw but was refused…he's trying to get me to quit already on move 58
@Thunderrook saidI'm not sure what you mean when you say you "asked for a draw".

Do you mean you asked your opponent for a draw?
That's not how it's done. If the conditions for a draw exist, you only have to click the "claim draw" button first, then make your move. It does not involve communication with your opponent.
You just claim it, and the software verifies the conditions needed to be a draw.
If the conditions are satisfied, the draw is awarded and the game is over.
If the conditions are not met, you will see a message stating that fact, and the game continues.
Your opponent is not involved in that process.
But it's a two-step process. Claim a draw first, then make a move and submit it.
Offering a draw is not the same thing as claiming a draw. Offering does involve your opponent because you are asking for a mutually agreed upon draw, instead of playing out the game any further.
@Thunderrook saidYou OFFERED a draw, he didn't accept, but now he's moved that's the end of your 3-fold. So now the 3 moves have to be played out again, this time make sure you CLAIM a draw which the computer won't need to get him to agree. Draw claims are automatic but you need to usd the CLAIM button and not the OFFER button.
