I am writing this post because of oh so many people out there who write in the forums, too many lack respect. i'm not trying to acuse anyone in particular, but it's got to change. now, first of all - there was a post in one of the threads that said 'butt out and let the grown ups talk' - so if you judge me even now because i'm younger than you, pls stop reading here. i'm a kid - ok?
right - next - a post some time ago - 'leave this site you idiot, we don't want your kind'. or 'stupid jerk, leave me alone'.
i'm drawing your attention to these two, because they are both ok if used in the right context.... but not on this kind of a site. this kind of site rests on trust, on kindness, on RESPECT. if people insult you, ignore it - or tell russ. don't start a private word war against them - treat them with RESPECT until no longer possible.
another post:
'****** cheats,.....' or 'hey russ, ***** is cheating'
once again, tell russ privatly - this kind of open anouncement is wrong.
imagine, for a minute, that your son/doughter/brother/little kid you have no control of uses your computer and your username to start a game against someone and then (somehow) cheats - it is not your foult - but there is no way to prove this. would you be happy then if the person who you (your kid/bro/whatever) played posts a massive acusation against you? treat all others, no matter what they do (or seem to have done) with respect - cos things aren't always the way they seem.
now, in general - most people follow these 'guidlines' of respect - but only in general.
the problem with a site like this - with all different people, different ideas and different cultures id that it is way to easy to forget it's a real person on the other end. you can't treat others like you would treat someone standing next to you, but you can't just tell them to 'butt off' either - no matter what they have said and done....
anyway, please try to understand what i'm trying to say here - please try to show respect.
