Restaurant Bans Vegans

A restaurant in Perth, AU, banned all vegans after one gave him a bad review. He claims vegans have mental health problems and can all F... off. Must be something in the air all of a sudden. Everyone seems to feel entitled and ordinary people are on edge. Anyway I think all she succeeded in doing is giving the owner lots of free publicity. Now the restaurant is packed every night.

Interesting.
He's a "celebrity chef" of some British show or other. He knows any publicity is good publicity. Vegans aren't his target market in a meat-lovers' city where takeaway pizzas are often requested meat-only.

If the restaurant's vegan options were of poor quality, then so be it. Vegans beware. If the restaurant was being reviewed harshly by a vegan for some reason other than the quality of its fit-for-vegans food or the service standards attendant thereto, then the fact that it is packed out since the review is as eloquent a riposte to the unhappy reviewer as the restaurant could hope for.

Complaining about something costing AUD$ 32 in a restaurant run by a "celebrity chef" from a British TV show is surely almost clinically parochial.

Saying “...sadly all vegans are now banned" is obviously a publicity stunt. If the one and only "vegetable dish" is no longer available, then that's the restaurant's prerogative.

The statement... "it’s incredibly important nowadays that restaurants can accommodate everyone and to not be able to have actual plant-based meals shows your shortcomings as a chef" ...contains, to my way of thinking, two highly subjective opinions that are, for all intents and purposes in the real world in which we live, false assertions.

I've been eating more vegetarians recently.

Their ribs and tenderloins are my favourites.

The vegans thought the bad reviews would close down the restaurant. They had bad intentions and they were in the wrong.

Most vegans are decent people. I have a restaurant down in the islands here and come across several of these people, mostly foreigners. Most are very nice and understnding, but a few hardcore ones are extremists and believe they are Gods chosen to end meat eating, and can get very hostile if you cannot provide them with what they want.

Clearly, but there is no religion in the world that says eating meat is not allowed. Plus there are very serious medical and health issues with vegetarians and vegans. Scientists are now discovering that longterm vegans suffer from specific serious ailments that meat eaters do not have. Babies born of vegan mothers suffer similarly from certain deficiencies. There is nothing natural or beneficial from being vegan. There are cases where children have died at the hands of vegan parents who gave them rubbish to eat.

Certain health issues can however benefit from vegan diets especially where people are heavy meat eaters. The best diets is a sensible one combining good meats and vegetables, good healthy drinks including alcohol. Extremists obviously suffer and moderates live longer and healthier. Veganisn is a rather stupid fad promoted by people who have an abnormal love for animals.
