Is there anything in the news where you are about the 'revolution' in Kyrgyzstan and the alleged coup? I wondered if it had been big enough news to merit a mention in the UK, USA etc, and also what they had been telling you.

President Bakiyev appeared to play down the threat.
"There is no threat here. There are no forces to carry out a coup. But there are intentions,"
Reuters news agency quoted him as saying.

President Bakiyev appeared to play down the threat. He did ssay that, the problem is that those very intentions are often enough to trigger problems on a 'minor' scale. It could still kick off yet but it seems to be passing off without more than a handful of minor casualties.

I ventured down to the scene both yesterday night and this morning, quite bravely on each occasion given the potential dangers, and it seemed more like a rally than a potential revolution.
I think for there to be another revolution here so soon after the last one would set a very dangerous precedent.
