I play on RHP, gameknot.com, as well as chessworld.net, uchess.com, and chessmaniac.com. I can tell you right now that RHP is the best of all those sites. I would rank Gameknot in second place. Chessworld.net is a piece of crap, and I plan on pulling out of that site as soon as I finish what I started. Chessmaniac.com is fairly good, and it lets you play an unlimited number of games, but it's missing several features that this site has. Uchess is a blitz site, so only go there if you want a quick fix, but it's still fairly good. RHP is the only site I've subscribed to, and it will remain that way for eternity, or until I find a really, really good site. If you're looking for a site to subscribe to, I recommend this one. I've never heard of Scheming Mind. Is it good?

A friend of mine from my old CW days was getting involved in some kind of admin/advisory capacity with schemingmind . If he's attracted to it and involved with it it's going to have a more progressive alternative approach . He was heavy into non traditional chess variations ; you know - 8x12 square boards with extra pieces and such . I have a hard enough time with getting a handle on the traditional game , and am more of a purist , so I didn't accept his offers to join with him . At any rate , last I talked to him a few months ago , the site was in it's infancy but he was very excited about .

I think gameknot stunk , but there's nothing I can point a finger at . It just didn't feel as good as here . I wouldn't call CW crap , but rhp has it beat hands down .

Be warned that with RHP you will have Chess Riff Raff, like Moldy Crow, and bastards, like myself, to deal with. For a nominal protection fee, we can make sure that your harassment is kept to a minimum... otherwise, anything could happen.

hehe... yes 😛 Now that's the first good/sensible idea I've heard all day. Protection fees... hm.
