I was just thinking. We play chess together. But I dont really know
you.I read your sentences, sometimes ven see your face(Thanks to
Chris and Russ)But I dont know you.
Someone once told me (it was late in the evening)the only way to get
to know someone well is by doing one of the following together:
1.Fight a war.
2.Work.
3.Get drunk.
Only then will you come to really know your "friend".This seems to be
true.
1.I fought a war(no friends from that time)
2.Work I do(not many friends there)
3.Drink(I get really sloshed with my best friend once every 4 months)
My questions:
Has anyone ever met through RHP and then met face to face and hit
it off?
I would like to meet the following people should they ever come to
the south of AfricašRandom order)
T1000
Rhymester
bbar
sintubin
shougi
alley crime
schliemann
kirksey
belgianfreak(whom I have never played)
coyote
I might have left a few out,but who would you like to meet face to
face?
Johan
Very worried that he might have left more than a few out......
Getting drunk – a sure way to discover the GENUINE person inside. I
never feel like I know someone until I have shared a few jars with
them and talked nonsense for a few hours. People open up in ways
they never would when sat in the corner of a comfy pub with a few
pints inside them....(Russ has a ‘Homer’ like day-dream where he is
sat in pub by an open fire, drinking beer, rather than being stuck at
work, with rain lashing against the window, clock watching until I can
go home)
