Geometry of Love is an original, recorded on a rubbish little mic in my rubbish little living room and using my rubbish crack of Logic, which crashes every five seconds.

Science vs Romance is a cover, originally written by Rilo Kiley. Again, to achieve the real sense of apathy I have managed to, I used the aforementioned abhorration of a recording setup.

In both, all parts are played/sung by me on my lonesome.

Are you listening to the right tune?

Seriously, I dug it. You have a top notch voice - edgy, expressive and soulful. Lou Reed comes to mind. But it doesn't sound like you're trying to sound like Lou Reed, which is cool.

Your 'Sea of Glass', from Revelations, right?

Good call. I was trying to marry the metaphorical language of Revelations with Christ's more imminent description of God's kingdom as being "within." The lyrics are kind of "Emersonian" in that respect.

Hello there. The time has come for voting. I've been putting this off as I have a nagging feeling that it is all going to go pear shaped, due to my bad planning and indecision. But let's see what happens eh?! The songs can be downloaded from GateCrasher's website: -

Extremely nit picking wouldn't you say? I'll let you take over from here because I really can't be bothered with pedantism on that level. Absolutely effing ridiculous.

Best solo was intended for a solo performance, as in one person performing. This was explained in previous posts. please read them.

I omitted best original/composition because I was informed that covers should be considered in one category and original stuff in the rest.

SOrry if this doesnt please you. Actually no, I don't give a poop.

No need to Freak out!

I asked a question as to why "dance"? Did the electronic tune have to be dancable as in club dance?

You have to include the "original category", no matter how submissions were organized.

I understand your "solo" rule, I'm sure all my picks fit the criteria.

I was suggesting "best musician" regardless of solo work.

Sorry, I downloaded some of these last week with a folder on my itunes. Just move the other choices up and disregard that choice. Epi, I really liked that tune, why did you trash it?

Your choice of" Days of Wine and Roses" doesn't fit Jim's solo rules, he's touchy about that one!

I'm glad you liked it, gf, that is high praise coming from you. Thank you.

I originally entered "Love Song" in the solo category, falsely thinking that "solo" had a broader reference than was actually intended. I didn't fully understand the categories, I guess. Thinking I had no other categories in which to fit "Love Song" I chose to substitute it with something in the electronic category.

Not to do myself out of votes, but can a single person be considered a band?
