So another well-known depressive has taken his own life.
Tony was one of TV's true good guys.
A 21st century adventurer, who seemed to take learning and experience by the balls.
A modern day "man's man".
He will be missed.
I really enjoyed his show
his storytelling
I guess the guilt ate him up
felt he didn't deserve what he had
sad

Why the guilt?

One of my favorite 'celebrity' people simply for being so God damned human, his final act of humanity--- a man who lost in the wrestle against despair--- crushes at least one of the small glimmers of hope littering the path left behind.
It's hard to forgive him except for the knowledge that darkness plagues, hounds us all.
May God grant him the peace and solace which eluded him here.

He had the world as his oyster, literally🙁 and opted out of it.

Anthony Bourdain and Jeremy Wade have been my crushes on TV these past few years simply because they are both so real. No pretentiousness with either of them, no boasting, no BS.
RIP Tony. We already miss you.
Jeremy had a close brush in a Brazilian jungle plane crash. Hopefully, he values his life ever-the-more because of it.
i never watch 'regular' television, heck, i remember when the news said we would all be watching 'pay tv' and commercials would be a thing of the past...
HA!!!
i had zero idea of who anthony bourdain is/was, same for ms kate spade...
i did, some years back, know of steve irwin because, crikey mate...
so i'm clueless about famous folks and they way they inspire so many thousands, millions, billions, of people...
i'm told that there are phone numbers to call, if you need help...
i'm told there are resources to aid those who flail about aimlessly because they have no compass...
i'm told the anguish i feel daily is 'temporary' and i ought not take action on that which will change,
all by itself...
what a flippin joke this society is...
we really care about you...
hogwash...
yer on yer own gomer, nobody is coming to help...
what i'm saying,
badly,
is that depression does NOT always have a solution...
medicine has a term, chronic, to describe that which NEVER GOES AWAY...
oh, but you say, it can be managed!!!
have you spent forty years on this planet, going in orbital circles around a puny star, knowing that each and every day that you wake you are going to struggle with feelings of despair???
no???
well, ain't that just peachy...
do you think there are drugs that make you feel all better???
have you taken any of these miracle substances???
i have...
i've taken all of them...
most do not do what they are advertised to do...
they others make it seem things are better, until you realize that being a drooling zombie without direction is WORSE than painful loneliness...
