I am a female liking very much playing chess. (still learning but
fast).I am interested in other players who can explain to me how you
can react when the opposit player does no follow a variant. On that
point I am stocked. Is there anyone who would like to explain to a
learning chessplayer the logical moves you have to make than? I can
make a opening an play very well for a while. but at the endplay i'm
lost. so some reactions would be very respected.
i don't worry much if someone deviates. their move can't be as good
as the analayzed move.
first look to see it's weaknesses.
second if you can't find any weaknesses look to see if the theme of
the oppening still applies.
third, just follow principles of development, centre control, king
safety,and fight for the initiative.
i've played alot of over the board games, and they soon leave the
book.
lyn.
I think its the point where you should assess the position, look for weakness on both sides - fortify yours and exploit his.
If exchanges will happen who would have bettter position? etc, etc. but sometimes it do gets boring that you just pick a piece up
and make a move then its probably time to take a rest and play some other day when you can concentrate more.
Every openning has an idea, you have to read about the ideas of the
opennings you play. This is going to help you in the plan to choose.
It is very importan to get an estrategic book, this book would teach
you the way to play in different kind of positions, this positions
usually are clasified for the pawn structure.
Also you have to practice everytime to improve your tactics, this is
important because you can get the plan and the positio you want but
there is a moment you have to remate, if this moment pass you will
lost.
