Not just Serbia. Many countries have roasted, french fried, baked, campfired insects.

Even chocolate covered ants:

The hard part is catching the little buggers.


Deep fried grasshopper is Thailand, quite nice actually.

Different cultures regard different foods as delicacies. Several African cultures eat insects and think lobster is repulsive (if you knew what lobsters eat, you wouldn't eat lobster).

And that is why some seafood (bottom feeders mostly) is not kosher.
