And Justice For All is still one of my favorite albums but after the black album they just went straight down the poop (pop) drain
Originally posted by The Slow Pawnor just screw them both and joing the red hot ROCKers-casue we have ROCK in our name, AND we are the origanial (and best!) rockers...a bit like pitting maiden and metallica against korn and slipknot...the origanl is better type thing...ππ

They are still my favourite band but Megadeth looked good for the entire discography ,except Risk, and I wish Metallica did a good last album as is Megadeth's ''The world needs a hero''(please not compare it to ''Rust in peace'',but at least is a good album).

but hey-that's not stopping me going to see them over the summer π
I do agree that Metallica's old stuff is better.
However as most of you probably know, James has been through a really difficult time (and has been in a drug abuse clinic for over 9 months). That taken into consideration, I like St. Anger and after having seen them live in Berlin last year, I can say with pride that they still have the urge to be as fast and loud as they have always been ...
Just some random thought on this topic :-)

IMO-if st anger hadn't been *metallica*, then it'd not have sold...just another crappy nu-metal band...
Well, some good points raised here, with me being 33 I do prefer Metallica of old, I do like the St. Anger album though, but it doesn't get my heart racing as much as the black album or ...and justice for all.
But Maiden, now there is a different kettle of fish, I saw them in December and they still rocked my world. Banging out classics like the Trooper and still making it sound as Rocky, as fast and as hard-hitting as when I saw them on the Slavery tour in '86.
Just like Eddie, Maiden will not die.
