what class of character do people prefer to play in rolemaster or aD&D. What is the favourite name of any of your characters... The sneaky thief or the bold paladin ? maybe the quite but deadly herbalist ......
Originally posted by smytheNo. I like the Cleric spell Destruction. I really like the Magic User spell Shape Change. There can be nothing like becoming a dragon. In EverQuest I played a Druid and a Wizard. I failed as a Warrior. Warriors are weak and die all the time. As a Druid I killed a lot of things solo a warrior could not even hurt. I killed Griffawns at level 17 as a druid. I was killed fast by one as a level 21 Warrior. Warriors are weak. They have to use magic to keep magic from killing themselves in a hurry. I want a Magic User. I like the power they wield. Warriors are second class citizens at the high level parts of the game.
you know gambit you may like a multi class character, cleric assasin sounds good. as you tend to the wound with bandages you kill the victim with poison seeping into the wound.... nasty !!
True, ultimately at a higher level the wizard class charater typre is far more powerful. But to get to the higher level they have to survive the lower levels of experience where they are prone and weak to any tape of physical attack. Hence the trusty old partnership of wizard and warrior...... I think wizards have more scope for roleplaying than warriors and are more fun to play but the ultimate character for me is the sneaky scout. Backstabbing and hiding when trouble is about but around for the share of thre treasure.....
Kurt Born (pronounced with a German accent).
He was a protagonist (or started out that way in Warhammer RPG), went on to rob graves, become an assassin and ended up being a champion of chaos (I didn't play him by that time, he'd escalated into a NPG).
The Druid (also in Warhammer).
A halfling (thief?) who thought he was a druid and rode around on a big pink pig.
