For anyone who remembers the thread from last week, just wanted to say that the ruins are truly mind-boggling, St. Peter's Basilica awe-inspiring, the Vatican museums excellent, and the Sistine Chapel is the finest thing I have ever set eyes upon.
Got a horror story or two to tell regarding Rome Ciampino airport yesterday, what with the industrial action, lost wallets, m'lady needing to see a doctor quite urgently and so on (looked like we might have had to sleep rough for at least one night - very long story, not good), but fortune favoured us in the end and we got home safely and just about in good health.
The most important thing...my lady travelling companion, even after accepting what happened yesterday, had a most pleasing and immensely enjoyable time, and dearly loved her 21st birthday present.
For those who have games with me, I haven't given up on RHP, just need to stop spending all my money on women and save up to buy a new 'puter - all donations gratefully received to Squirrel Lovers Inc. - I'll be playing regularly again in a couple of months with a bit of luck.
Am missing my regular games with peeps who I very much enjoy playing and count as friends from RHP; Dr. Brain, Lioness, tenebr8, kirksey957, David Tebb, SkipSlot, !~TONY~!, slapnuts, Pawnking, vegeta, dcpk, fernando J P Vasquez, Danforth, belgianfreak, latex bishop, kyngj, vaknso, and more besides. Oh aye, and some bloke called Rhymester who I gather a few of you know.
PS Go to Rome if you ever get the chance.
