Results about to announced in a press conference; but he left the hospital looking very happy with himself.
Cross your fingers England!!!

Originally posted by Freddie2006i don't think they should risk playing him so early, maybe the second round but unless they're really in trouble in the group stages not before then. they’ve got a good enough squad to get through without him anyway, but not to win he cup so they really need to prevent any reoccurrence of his injury.

Originally posted by trevor33I think they should leave him out of Paraguay and maybe give him 20 minutes against T&T and the second half against Sweden (if he's fit enough obviously). That way he'll get some proper match practice in ahead of the more important latter rounds (if we get through of course).

Originally posted by Freddie2006i don't think the lack of match practise will be a problem, hes been playing all year for united so a few decent training sessions should bring him back to normal.

they could win it year 😞 they've got the team just need a bit of luck in the latter rounds, the press wouldn't shut up about it though, their still going on about 66.

Paraguay
T&T
Sweden
Poland
Portugal (who we know we can beat; we did it i 2004, but that bast*ard ref disallowed our goal)
Brazil ( who we can also beat; with beckham not pussying out of challenges and without david seaman in goal)
Which leaves Germany vs England in the final. Dunno about that one though!

I don't think so son. US beats Brazil 3-0 in the Round of 16, then thrashes England 9-2 in the quarterfinal. Awed by the performance, the rest of the teams go home and simply concede the Cup to America.
Originally posted by sasquatch672Wake up grandad. The USA are delusional about getting anywhere close to Brazil. Yes you have some half decent players, but England's team is made up of world class players. Allow me to break it down for you, so that even you "soccer" fans in the USA can understand.

Goalkeeper: Paul Robinson; whilst not internationally renowned, he has had a solid season with Tottenham; guiding them to a Uefa Cup spot with the 5th best record in the Premiership.
Left Back: Ashley Cole; currently widely regarded as the best left defender in the world, he is top form at the moment and has been compared to Roberto Carlos on numberous occasions because of both his attacking and defensive abilities.
Centre Backs: John Terry and Rio Ferdinand; two defenders at the top of their game, having had outstanding seasons for Chelsea and Man Utd respectivly, they are considered as world class centre backs.
Right Back: Gary Neville; At 31, he is still considered one of the, if not the best and most reliable right back in the world. The only survivor of Euro 96.
Left Midfield: Joe Cole; Has fixed the "problem" in left midfield for England, and is widely tipped to become one of the stars of this years world cup. He had flourished under the guidance of Jose Mourhinio, scoring 14 goals last season.
Centre Midfield: Frank Lampard and Steven Gerard; the two best central midfielders in the world, both regularly score goals and have outstanding records and form coming into the World Cup. Enough said.
Right Midfield: David Beckham; the best crosser of the ball and free kick taker in the world, he was named player of the season by many at Real Madrid and is our captain (in case you didn't know).
Strikers: Michael Owen; A great you talent; fast clever; big goal tally, he has never failed to score in a knockout game in the World Cup.
Peter Crouch; Whilst not internationally regarded, he is a potent talent, he is 6ft 7inches and has been on steaming form for England recently; 4 goals in two games, including a hat-trick against Jamacia.
or
Wayne Rooney; one of the best young talents in the game, every country knows of him and is afraid; and so they should be.
USA have got no chance mate.

Or will fate inevitably lend a hand?
I can already hear "we was robbed" faintly starting in the background.
