Excellent. Deliver it with the force of moral rectitude and the authority of your spiritual gift. Your flock will be fed, built up, graced out, edified.

That is in no way humor, NOT even CLOSE. If you think it is, I feel sorry for you, sincerely.
You do realize s/he was spouting off that her husband is fitter than the younger guys on the site, and that we should eat our hearts out because he is attractive?

70 or not, this sounds pretty shallow to me.

And if by 70 she hasn't learned to deal with sarcastic humor, she has been pretty sheltered.

I've spent many hours talking to 70+ y/o women, I have yet to come across one who is genuinely this ultra-sensitive.

There is no defence for what he said. If you think that her loving her husband of many years makes her shallow. How do you think your criticism of a woman in her 70's saying how much she loves her husband, makes you look?

Twist, twist, twist. There absolutely is defence for what he said. He was being sarcastic (hardly a new idea here, or in any other forum online.) Check out some of her posts, tell me she doesn't use it herself.

Where the hell are you coming from? There is no way what I said could be seen/heard as attacking her for loving her husband. It was playful banter that she mistook the tone of. Period. I'm still awaiting my ban.

Carrie Nation who once said "I am a bulldog at the feet of Jesus, barking at everything He doesn't like."

And I, by the way, treat a woman in her 70's the way I'd treat a woman in her 30's...the same way. Being in your 70's doesn't magically turn you stupid/naive/mentally fragile.

Pay attention son, I was talking to the number lady.

And your comments that you actually made were still very disrespectful in my view, and most people who have common decency would think the same.

He's saying I attacked her for loving her husband, because I said her words sounded shallow. Come on, stop working against my argument that age doesn't bring a mental slow-down.
