I just think the Republicans want to put someone in who can shoot straight. Look, the reason they are changing Rummy is to give the appearance of change. The new guy is probably little difference from what was there has been policy wise, in order to bide the President time, so he can say you have to give this guy a chance. Same thing will probably happen with Dick Cheney. The President will want to distance himself from the nit wits in order to try and recover from the Thump'in the Rethuglacons took in this election. He is going to have to wear some tall boots these days. Because he is sloshing around in some deep ....

When I said 'idiot' I meant your president. Have you never considered that Bush may just be there to carry the can if something* hits the fan, and someone else (such as Cheney) is really calling the shots.

Hasn't Rummy offered to resign a couple of time in the past? Bush probably said to him 'Er, you know when I said "no" before? I actually meant "Okay". You know how i have trouble with words'. Maybe with Saddam sentenced to death, Rummy just thought 'Hang it! I've achieved what I wanted to achieve in this position...'

As for the low number of troops sent to Iraq, yes it was stupid but was it all Rummy's fault? Would congress have given him the money to take 500,000 troops there?

Spending money doesn't seem to be a problem with that congress.

Yea, yea, yea but you know there as so many idiots in and around the White house it is hard to pick one. Still, Bush is the front man or script reader. And they can still appoint some new heads to surround him. The schizophrenic, delusional gunslinger would be a good place to go next. That way they can get that monkey off their back. We will see, but I think it will happen. The way they work is almost predictable at times. Hey he is worried about impeachment now.
