Loose your job in pioneer-heroical every-man-for-himself make anti-socialist America great again, and people go into freefalll and do desperate things because there is no functioning safety net. Whereas, in 'socialist' Europe, if you loose your job, no one kills five people in a rage because there is a functioning safety net to get you back on your feet again.
