I just got one and it's the coolist. Tons of channels and no commercials. If you have odd ball taste in music and commercial radio does not do the trick then this is for you. All the stuff I've wanted is now at my fingertips.

Sirius or XM? I like PBS so Sirius is for me, XM doesn't have it .
Sirius will also have Howard Stern if you are into him.

Sirius. Howard Stern is not my cup of tea. His humor is like going back to high school where dirty nasty stuff was the funny thing. Now he seems like an old fool trying to be hip. But the Serius radio in general is what I've been looking for.

I will be signing up for Sirius when it gets closer for Howard's debut. Stern provides the best commentary and news by far. Unfortunately people get all bogged down in the fact that he has lesbians and strippers on his show all the time. There is nothing immature about him. His 9/11 extended coverage was some of the best. Guiliani praised him for his voice during that time. If you're seeing a psychiatrist, I think you will find it is a lot cheaper to listen to Howard talk about his trips to the psychiatrist.

I agree with that one hundred percent. He is clearly like a hs kid
in his humour but the 9/11 coverage was first rate. I spent 24 hours
at the red cross headquarters which is not too far from ground zero, trying to keep amateur radio
communications working ( us hams are not ALL radio smart!)
and listened to howard some of the time when he was on.
Hams were useful during the crisis as there was not much co-ordinated
comm, it was so chaotic. I wonder if anyone has heard Lucy
Kaplansky's songs written after 9/11? she lived in Brooklyn and
went though it all.
They said it all.

Can I get Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Marty Robbins, Hank Snow, the Everlys, stuff like that?
I lost all my old records in a flood. :'(

I pay 12 bucks a month for mine. I've had XM in my semi-truck for the last 3 years and its worth every penny.

I used to like it, I got bored with it though. I had XM and listened to bluegrass, and "old time radio classics" I got tired of all the ads on radioclassics, and they had a poor selection of bluegrass music

Yes you can hear those goodies. It's the only
way to go if you enjoy that kind of stuff.

Thats pretty cheap Jim, and with all the time you spend on the road that sounds like the way to go
