No games waiting and there's only been about 3 posts in the last 10
hours or so (as well as some involving hardcore Maths...no I don't
follow it either 🙁).

Plus given that all my friends (yeah yeah, both of them, ha ha, you're
so funny) will be asleep after a Friday night of revelry on the town I
am forced to turn to the general forum of RHP to say Good Morning
people.

Later I am off to watch Exeter City vs Rushden & Diamonds in the FA
Cup Second Round but firstly a large and wholly unhealthy brunch fry
up is needed.

Good day to you folks 😀

No, I can't follow a lot of royalchicken's posts either. I don't know that much maths now, let
alone when I was 15! 😕
Have you tried posting on the unused forums? All you need to do is pick an integer that's not
being used and tell people about it, and you can start your own forum. I'd steer clear of
forum 4 though, as I can see no good reason why that's empty, so it probably has a voodoo
curse on it, or it's haunted by the ghost of STEVENS, or something.

Morning Mark! Actually there was something I've been meaning to ask
you..

The 'mate-in-one' puzzle you posted in the chess only forum (which I
finally solved by the way) was excellent, but.... how did you happen to
be on a site dedicated to Dutch Tombstones in the first place? 😉

Oh no! You are one step away from discovering the SSoSA forum (the
Secret Society of Squirrel Appreciation forum). All you people who
thought it was just me, nooooo, we have a forum dedicated to it. It
can be found at a forum with an integer greater than 10 and less than
the square root of infinity. To find out which one, email
Imagulliblefool@hotmail.com 😀

(I wish it was I but) thanks must go to StrayJay for bringing the Dutch
tombstone puzzle to our attention. 'Tweren't me guv'nor.

*yawn* it's too early for conversation...

😞

G

also-i'm trying to work on a program to find all the prime numbers
between 1 and "XXX"-can anyone find any logic errors? (it's too early
for me...)

Dim primes(0 To XXX) As Integer
Let half = XXX / 2
For test = 1 To half Step 2
For test2 = 1 To half Step 2
Let division = test / test2
If division <> Int(dvision) Then
Let primes(test) = primes(test) + 1
End If
Next test2
Next test

Let root = Int(XXX ^ (1 / 2))
For test3 = 2 To root
Let square = test3 * test3
Let primes(square) = 0
Next test3

For display = 1 To XXX Step 2
If primes(display) > Int(display / 4) Then
Print display
Let total = total + 1
End If
Print total
Next display

What sport are we talking about here? I myself have a busy day.
Get a Christmas tree, rake leavesin the front yard so it looks good
enough for my wife to have a party next week, go to my kid's
basketball game, put out the Christmas yard art, get the Christmas
tree in the stupid stand so it's straight, put about 10,000 lights on the
tree, move all the old furniture out of one of my kids rooms because
new furniture gets delivered today, all the while maintain a smile on
my face and a song in my heart.

Football. Bloody brilliant it was too!! £7 and worth every penny. Exeter
City, 2nd from bottom in Division 3, right at the bottom of the football
league - heading quite possibly for non-league football, playing
against money bags Rushden & Diamonds, 2nd from top. And we
absolutely tonked 'em 😀

3-1 in the end but for all intents and purposes it was a rout.
Unbelievable atmosphere generated by a crowd of only 2,250. The
noise and passion of the fans was fantastic. The section of the crowd I
was in started laying into their left back for some reason (well, actually
several reasons), although to be fair (and at the time I wasn't!) he
was a tidy player cursed only with a somewhat unfortunate
appearance.

Draw for the 3rd round is tomorrow; would love it if a Premiership club
had to come and visit and the chance of a big upset. The passion and
loyalty of the crowd for a struggling lower league club really is
something to behold; FA Cup ties make it all the more special.
