Sax player died in plane crash

Gerry Niewood, sax player, died in the plane crash near Buffalo, NY last week. He was known for his work with Chuck Mangione, also lead his own band for a while. He died in route to a gig with Mangione, along with the band's guitar player. Good soprano player.

I just read what I wrote, i didn't mean to say that Chuck Mangione died along with Gerry in the plane, just that he was headed to a gig with the Mangione band, just Niewood and the guitar player were on the plane.
