Actually they are from both Chechnya & Ingushetia (in the former USSR these 2 provinces were united in the one administrative unit). Russian president Putin came to power using Chechnya war to gather votes. 2 highly questionable building explosions in Moscow were used as pretext to re-enter army into Chechnya region (it is still not clear who was really responsible for those explosions - terrorists or government security agents). Violence leads to more violence... Nobody knows how to resolve this terrible situation.
