They are trying to get human genes inserted into rabbit embryos
for what I don't know.
I would however give new meaning to
"Having a lucky rabbits foot'🙂

Maybe they're inserting genes of resistance to diseases that are common in rabbits?

This would then lead to perhaps reversing it so that animal genes could be used to provide resistance to diseases that we lack resistance genes for. Sounds like the crazy thing scientists would do...

Then again, they may be giving them the 'gun-toting gene' to utilise them to help defend squirrals form Hand of Hecate!

I believe it's the latter. But why not create a cybernetic rabbit with guns and HOH targeting as part of the rabbit? He'll have a much higher chance of surviving that way.
