Of course not, for two reasons at least, both relevant to the point.

One, the Netherlands and Germany are not provinces of NorthEuropia. Scotland and England are provinces of the UK, whatever Alec Salmond may want you to believe.

Second, there is a healthy competition in the Netherlands, and Ajax aren't even at the top of it at the moment. ...[text shortened]... an badly, and most Germans don't understand, let alone speak, Dutch at all.

Richard
We dont speak the same language, we speak lowlands Scots as distinct from English as Dutch is from French!

Well, not mince, but up against a real game, at least.

That's the problem, and that's why Rangic should be in the EPL. They could play against, I dunno, West Brom or Liverpuddle. Dundee are mince.

Richard
I watched Cardiff and West Ham, it was torture, worse than any SPL game i have
witnessed this season, they could not keep the ball on the ground, they could not
control the ball, it was a mixture of huge kicks from one end of the park to the other,
more reminiscent of a game of rugby than of football, how anyone can term it
entertaining i dunno, shows how hard up people must be for entertainment.

All of them, you see, Celtic are a team, not a group if individuals. Celtic were merely
unlucky, second rate EPL teams are mince.
see lennon conducting himself with his usual grace at the weekend, a total disgrace

yeah but you won, 2-0, was interesting to see ex Rangers hitman Kenny Miller playing
for Cardiff, he looked lively but he's no Stokes.

lol, the situation at Rangers is worse than i thought, some players are on 30,000 a
week and they will not accept a 75% pay cut that will see them earn a mere 5,000 a
week. Some of the youngsters will be on a mere 130 pound per week, which is ok if
your living with your maw! McCoist himself must be willing to take a pay cut while
you have directors demanding on top of their salary, 300,000 pound bonuses,
something is wrong to the very core. Also the tax dodging started by Murray and
Advocacy could be back dated as far back as 1998, the situation is critical. what are
the implications of this for Rangers? If they become insolvent where will their
players train? Murray Park is five minutes from my home, it cost 14 million to build
but its on greenbelt and cannot be used for development of houses. where will they
get money to pay for decent players? Its ok if your an Arsenal you can field five or
six quality youngsters no problem, its simply not the same for Rangers, sure they
have youngsters but do you honestly think they can carry the team? Could Rangers
face relegation? Could Smith be stripped of his titles? Murray should certainly be
stripped of his knighthood, tax dodging Jake that he is. Scottish football cannot be
the same without Rangers, even as a Celtic fan i realise than we need them, not
because of success, but simply as a nemesis, it would be boring as all get out
without them.

Btw did you see the United game against Cali thistle? was awesome, some beautiful
goals especially the third one, i like the look of United.

great game last night, if they do strip rangers of all trophys during thier cheating period, do the runners up get them? saints would win their first cup (beat by them in league cup final) money is crazy mcoist on £1m plus a year, while lennon is on £300,000 a year, could do with some of that.

If the second club in your major league can be penalised ten whole points for being, in effect, a bunch of fraudsters, and still remain not just second, but safely so, there is something very, very wrong with your league.

Celtic and Rangers should be made to play with the big boys in the English PL, whether they, the rest of the SPL, or the EPL like it or not. The situation as it is is just not healthy for football in Scotland.

Richard
Take pride in your football shallow. No matter where it's played in Europe, you can bet it's superior to anything in the USA. European football is REAL football. American football sucks! My ancestors came from Scotland, (I wish they had stayed there.)😏

Erm, no. Not nearly.

Scottish English is a dialect of English, i.e. the same language.
Lowland Scots (which is not the same thing) could reasonably be seen as a language descended from English, which would make it as close to English as Afrikaans is to Dutch, i.e., pretty bluidy close.

Dutch is closely related to both English and Scots - they're all Low Germanic languages. French, by contrast, is Romance. Still Indo-European, but a different branch.

The only language of Scotland which is about as closely related to English as Dutch is to French is Gaelic, but you Sassenach don't speak that, only true, red-blooded Teuchters do. And wha' da they noo of Celters and Rangic, bluidy hill-dwellers? Let'em play shinty, or catching the caber!

Well, we Dutchmen can, no matter how we play now and especially no matter how low our league has sunk, at least take pride in the fact that both our national team and our clubs laid some of the foundations for the best football played in the world. After all, where would Barcelona be without people like Cruijff?
But alas, for the league at least, that is all in the past.
