I have installed a nifty program called boot XP and merrily set about destroying my MBR. I have managed to startup again by using last known good config but it has started up in safe mode by the looks of things. 16 colours etc. Any advice on epairing my MBR would be greatly appreciated. The boot XP program is supposed to be a back up boot.ini to act as a fail safe when things go wrong, but the two lines in the OS boot menu just reset the computer to POST again. Is there a standard MBR i can just cut and paste off the internet into notepad and just save into C: ????
Heeelp. 😕

Did you set system restore at any point? You could just restore and start over again.
