which Burroughs have you read and what did you think?

I am in the process of collecting all his work, which is hard to do considering there are so many and they havent been reprinted in years, save the most popular like Tarzan and Mars.

Burroughs wrote the majority of the Tarzan novels about 1/2 mile from my place in Oak Park. The house is still there, although unimpressive looking these days.

I mentioned Phillip Jose Farmer once here and got crucified. Alas, the Riverworld series is a gas.

For cheap laughs, and even a few smart ones, I like Terry Pratchett's Discworld series.

Also amusing is Christopher Moore -- Practical Demonkeeping is worth a skim.

Ilium/Olympos were very strange books.

Fritz Leiber. His stories about Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser are highly enjoyable if you're into good, old fashioned Sword & Sorcery.

There's the Lysande books as well...Thieves' World I think was the name. Another classic of fantasy.
