setting timebank

General

Certain "competitors" try to sneak in acceptance to their low timebank settings and then wait esp. when losing to press the skull button on you. It's outright cowardice and shows their utter disregard for courtesy and the game, instead choosing winning at all coasts.

I was trying to show a fellow player where to set a default for her but could not find it.

Assistance is much appreciated. Also, calling these chess bullies out who disguise deception as ability needs to be done.

Click on My Setttings, then My Challenge Settings will allow you to set a minimum timeout.

Other settings can be accessed when you click on New Game, and you set the Timeout and timebank accordingly.

As for timeoutters, if you play within the agreed time limits then you cannot be timed out.

Did you forget which account you were signed in under? 😲

As pointed out use your settings to get the kind of game you want. Check all challenges and reject those with too short a time for your taste. Be careful who you "call out". If you start naming names in the public forums, it could be seen as harassment which is a violation of the TOS.

Like they're worried about that.

The best you can do is My Settings -> My Challenge Settings and set minimum timeout to the desired value.

I don't see a way to set a minimum timebank.

Finally, time is an accepted part of the game. Claiming a time win is no more an act of cowardice than taking a hanging Queen. You will get no traction with these sorts of complaints.

Claiming the win is not the cowardly part.

I'd say it would have more to do with people who only play 1/0, knowing that at least 50% of their opponents will time out.
