So here's an idea: presenting philosophy via Hollywood actors. People probably aren't interested in what the geeks looked like and it's the ideas that count, right?

So far I've got:
Bertrand Russell -- Kurt Russell (the unconscious association helps, I think)
Socrates -- Burt Lancaster
Plato -- the lead actor in The Bold & The Beautiful, whatever his name is

Suggestions?

Descartes -- Jean Claude Van Damme
David Hume -- Fat Bastard (as played by whatsisname)
