I heard about the North Korean Leaders. Now some time ago they offered to the Americans to drop the nuke bomb project if the US sign an Non-Agression Treaty. But the US refused to do so. Commentary of the guy from the German government they interviewed: Consider you are in charge for countries safety in North Korea. What would you do but to get the bomb ?
I am of the opinion that if we allow the islamic states to get the nuke bombs (Israel have so why not everybody else ? Measure with two scales ?) that the whole islamic-christ crisis would go down to a cold war for X years like the eastern block before. But after a certain period of time they whole crisis would become more relaxed until finally the relations would be as between the US/western world and the russian block nowadays.
Even the religious hardliners know that they would sign their own death warrant for sure when attacking a state with nuke bombs. They would be damn safe from any illegal invasions and therefore probably behave when Israel is not messing up this thing.
Additionally I would give the UN a massive amount of nuke bombs and let them sign an act that says: Which state uses atomic bombs risks the total annihilation of his whole country. That would them let behave for sure. Besides that no one could guarantee that any missile fired against the US reaches its target.

I'm appossed to all nuke weopons, but since one country has them then that country can't rightfully say it's bad for another.

cold war "liberated" hundreds of nukes now in the hands of the
Russian mafia so its only a matter of time, regardless of how many
times the nuclear facilities get bombed. They don't need to actually
reproduce the technology, just buy weapons ready made on
the undermarket.
The thing that will ultimately decide the use is not islam v christians
it is end of oil. When there is no oil left the islam states will lose
the billions in revenue and will decend into chaos. This is much
more worrisome than any religious war. Now it becomes a
struggle for survival and any crazy in power could let loose with
whatever he has not giving a crap what happens to his county,
no oil now anyway so screw it, bomb Tel Aviv and Turkey too......
