If "bigal34 beat IronMan31,.what would bigal's rating be then? And IronMans also? In other words, the highest rating loses to the lowest rating.

If you look at the rating algorithm in the FAQ section, you can work it out.
Or you could get out more.

Ironman31 would end up 2432 and bigal would end up 603.

Yes,the max points you can get out of your opponent is 32,both for a win and for a loss.

no, it's less in the case of Ironman (24 I think)

At this writing, Ironman is at 2464 and Bigal is at 572. Should the unthinkable occur, Ironman would drop 16 points (since he's over 2399) and Bigal would gain 32 points.

Resulting ratingss: 2448 and 604
