Really? Never knew you had placed your faith in and accepted the authority of a guy who viewed human beings

as nothing more or less than a temporal mass in motion, sans an immortal soul, property of some totalitarian

state selling the gospel of dialectic materialism. Hmm... learn something new everyday. Today's no exception.

So what proof do you have that humans are so well placed in the order of things they have been given a soul?
Seems like an incredibly arrogant stance, to put humans above all the other animals on Earth, in fact, to imply we are the masters of all creation.
Occam's razor says we are just the same as every other animal on Earth, Meteorites took out the dinosaurs, the same thing could happen to humans and we seem to be running the planet into the ground and no pissed off lord has come down yet to stop the ongoing mass extinction caused 100% by humanity.
So just exactly where is our supposed superiority over the animal world, so superior that of all the creatures on Earth, we humans and humans alone have this ''Soul".
I think it's a piece of crock foisted on unsuspecting humanity by power seeking so-called religious so-called authority.

I don't have the arrogance to proclaim there is no god, but if there is, it's policy is total hands off and let humans screw up the planet till it is useless for any life. Maybe that is our true calling, to destroy the whole planet, kill our worthless selves off so this hands off god can come down and start over with real worthwhile beings.

True, but it would also be true to say that mature people relish it as well

T or F Nobody knows the exact origin and coinage of the common phrase, "To cut

the mustard," but almost everybody knows 'Miracle Whip' is unadulterated crap.

Both.

We have been spiritually ignorant for quite some time; the Media just makes it a bit more palatable. We're all on our own islands these days, it seems, throwing bottled messages out into the hopeful sea.

Segue point, somewhat related: I recently asked several groups of employees for a show of hands to indicate newspaper readership. Despite the local Plain Dealer's claim of reaching 1.3M people here in NE Ohio, less than five percent of my average-to-highly educated people interact with it at all.

I've always considered the newspaper medium a topical-at-best method to relay the issues. Turns out that the digital age, with its 15-second deadlines has rendered the printed page a denizen of the stodgy world of books!
