The other guy is XM radio. I want to hear how Bob Dylan handles his show there. We have Sirius and paid 500 bucks for a lifetime membership. I don't think that deal is on anymore, if you keep it for about 4 years you save money since there is no monthly premium.

XM is the competitor to Sirius. I have Sirius as I live where I can't get any reception except AM pentecostal preachers. I love it. I like Stern, but I also get classical music which I like as well. I can drive across the country and never lose a signal. Well worth it.

Well its not foolproof but in the main you get a lot more clear signal than FM. The one thing I don't like about it is the rather poor quality of the sound, its sounds like you are in the bottom of a barrel sometimes, its due to the extreme bandwidth compression, like a poor mp3 player. I used to listen to the old time radio show, radio from the 20's and 30's I thought they were interesting but I see they cut that out now. I also like folk music but the nearest thing they have to that is the Coffeehouse channel, chan 30 and its not exactly real folk music, just folk rock.
