Well 39$ really isn't much, especially when you compare it with some other sites. He has the right to increase it. I don't think they are making fortune with RHP anyway. What should they do... Be volonteurs ?
What makes you think i'm complaining about the price? I was just pointing out the conversation Russ had to have with himself when he made the new price.

I leave it to you all to decide how you feel about that conversation and the role you play as puppets.

inflation is running at about 1% right now. The fee increased 50%.
I thought that when existing subscribers renew their subscription they pay the same amount they paid when they first joined. Price increases of any kind are irrelevant to existing subscribers.

I can recall reading about the planned increase in subscription well in advance of it taking effect. This gave anyone not currently a member an opportunity to buy in at the lower rate.

If the vast majority of members resubscribe automatically then, in inflationary terms, the site makes a loss on them each year, so the subscription for new members must rise by more than inflation to compensate.

That would be true if inflation rose. but it hasn't really increased this year. In fact, most numbers are showing DEFLATION is prices.

40 dollars equates to 10 cents per day
If a subscriber was online with RHP for 1 hour a day then that is 10 cents per hour
If I went for a walk I would use more than 10 cents of shoe leather
Wake up for the enjoyment chess brings you how can 10 cents a day be too dear 🙄🙄🙄
