I reached a new top score on Sunday by hitting 94 as part of a 154 opening partnership. I had 5 balls left to get 6 runs for my ton and I ended up bowled going for the big one. *sigh* Today I ache all over, but I still have a smug smile on my face. Well done me 😏

EDIT: Cricket for those of you who have no idea what I'm tlaking about...

well done Starrman, cricket is played much here by pakistanies and indians! i tried playing it once, bowling is so hard! guess cuz i am weak! batting seems more fun 🙂 but i always get bowled out very quick, making no runs 🙁
it's a fun sport though!

Ugh, the nervous nineties 😉

In school once I was on 44 once with one ball to go. Everyone shouted from the side for me to go for it.
I did - and was brilliantly caught on the boundary.

The best I could ever manage was 82.
Man, I'm jealous!
I really should go play again....

Anyone for cucumber sandwiches in the pavillion? All this cricket talk has given me an appetite.

I bowled last season, but have decided that it is futile, I have neither the strength, nor the tenacity to be a fast bowler and spinning is for fat people.

That explains the "slimming pills" his mummy gave him?

I know nothing about cricket but always wanted to give it a go. I've got a silly question.

How long did it take to get your 94?

About 3 hours, but we had a period of rain in the middle, so I was probably batting for 2
