I read about the Salem witch trials as a young man and I remember marveling at the ignorance being displayed in those stories. Then I learned of the same thing happening under Joe McCarthy and I thought about what folly it is to not learn from history.
I do not deny the owners and/or operators of this site the right to boot anyone they want for any reason they want but I'm not going to pay for the pleasure of watching it happen anymore.
I would rather play with a few cheaters then watch this train wreck go on any longer.
I will play out the rest of my games and if nothing has changed I'm outie. So, please, reveal the "evidence" or stop the cheater hunt...I don't want to leave!

Of course, several of those players have been very high profile. And I do think that Exy is in some a way a different case to the others. But I also wonder if we're not all exaggerating the effect of these bannings somewhat.
I think I worked out that I haven't played a single game against any of the people banned for engine use. I'd played ThePO in a tournament (banned for multiple accounts), and that's it. So the loss of those players hasn't exactly radically altered my experience of this site. I'd actually regard Exy as the biggest loss thus far because of his activity in the forums and as a clan leader.

Maybe it's all a conspiracy by the game mods to take over the site. π Exy resisted their formation, and was booted. Banning Ironman first was just to show everyone their power. Anyone who resists will be banned. And by revealing their evil scheme, I'm living my last few moments on the site. π

I would rather play with a few suspected cheaters than have a completely unaccountable and secret regime tossing out my friends without a single bit of evidence presented.
This situation truly is unacceptable. Even if Exy was in fact a cheater, this cure is certainly worse than the disease. We have created a monster by bringing the Game Mods into existence and they should be abolished immediately or become accountable to us, the people whom they exist to serve.

It's amazing that mod is short for moderation.
