So what came first?

Another one of these brilliant thoughts of mine...

I've been logging in to redhotpawn.com, and finally decided to look at a couple of the mirror sites - chessatwork.com and timeforchess.com.

The thing is, I've talked about this place as just 'RHP' in a couple of posts on the forums, and other people have as well. It suddenly occurred to me there might be people here who have no idea what I'm talking about!

Was redhotpawn the first site and the others came later? Did they all turn up together? Is there one that the majority of people use? Does anyone give a damn about this or am I the only one obsessed with trivia?

Answers to all questions, even the last one, are welcome!

rhp is hte original (and best!). i still use it-i tried TfC and C@W, but just prefetted rhp. and it has that difficulty when my parents are trying to say the site that i'm on. it's just "chess" now...😛

RHP came first, the others were added later (last year sometime) to help get around the restricted sites list that some employers use and to enhance personal tastes among users. I prefer TimeForChess over all the others. Although I'm not a huge fan of green (blues my color) I do like it over red.

There is only one site. RHP. The others are still the same site using a different "skin".

I use TFC also. Just for the color scheme. But yeah, they're all the same site.
